The Daniel Fast is essentially a vegan diet. The fast is a whole foods, plant-based diet, focusing on foods that are in their raw form. Foods that are allowed: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, plant-based oils, herbs and spices.
Foods that you can’t eat: meat, eggs, dairy, processed foods, sweeteners.
